Avant Garde was a magazine somewhat famous for Herb Lubalin’s type treatments, including the magazine’s logo. That style was developed into a full typeface, with a truly remarkable number of alternates and ligatures.
Womprat contains Avant Garde-style ligatures for HT, LI, LL, NN, NT, TH, TT, and TU, UT, which are all enabled automatically when selecting this OpenType feature.
Avant and Vavnt broaden Womprat’s capabilities significantly, especially when coupled with SS12 Avant and SS13 Vavnt.
