Special Edition Ligatures

Along with the ’97 release of the Star Wars Trilogy, distinctive ligatures were introduced. The GY was formed from extending the G, but the TR required a little modification in the R’s shape.

This style has cascading effects, notably with B, D, and P.

Womprat contains hundreds of ligatures to facilitate this style without needing to type extra extension characters. Some of these ligatures contain up to four letters!

Ligatures in this style also exist for Greek—

…Cyrillic—

…and accented Latin.

Some ligatures are capable of multiple connections. To flip the ligature connection, enable SS09 Director’s Cut.
